Taken from Mozart's opera,
The Magic Flute, this scene takes place during the second act finale. The Princess Pamina is saved by the Three Boys, spirit-like creatures who watch over the characters in the opera, protecting them from evil and guiding them toward enlightenment. For performance purposes, a chorus can be divided into three parts, each taking a line assigned to one of the Three Boys. Duration: ca. 6:10.
Performed by Anima-Young Singers of Greater Chicago and the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, Emily Ellsworth, conductor.
