This collection of 100 Little Marches was incorporated into Kodály's Choral Method to perform a number of educationally useful and yet separate functions. They are, however, performance pieces, albeit for classroom use, and are usually learned in conjunction with sight-reading training using 333 Elementary Exercises.
A collection of books comprising the music which Kodaly composed and collected for the Method. Based on sol-fa notation combined with unaccompanied part singing from the earliest stages in a child's school music, the Kodaly Method develops musical literacy, secure intonation and rhythmic confidence - essential fundamentals of sound music education.
