Hyperactive timpani and mallet parts lay down an asymmetric rhythmic groove (often joined by percussive brass punctuations) over which extended note melodies float, including both an oboe and flute solo. Putting the main emphasis on rhythmic and harmonic tension, thecomposer has created an electric composition that is built to capture t he listeners full focus until its rousing conclusion.
