This is a wonderful new setting of a little known Debussy piano piece inthe style of one of his more famous piece, Golliwog's Cakewalk. It is c lear that Debussy was influenced by the Ragtime music that was popular during his lifetime. James Meredith has worked some arranging magic to make this a stunning piece for strings. It retains all of the character and charm of Debussy's music but keeps it within the grasp of advancing string players, making it a welcome addition to the repertoire.
