The Finnish folk melody's hymntune in this piece is called “Nyland.” It is a simple and gentle strain that Glenn Wonacott has decorated delightfully. The piano accompaniment has a Baroque feel to it as does the lovely obbligato part. Using a text by Anna Waring about God's reassuring presence at all times, the sentiment is reminiscent of Bach's “Sheep May Safely Graze.” Excellent as a children's anthem and also with any 2-Part voices in a worship service. Easy to medium.
