A traditional African-American spiritual comes alive in an exciting setting for SATB and piano. Written for the Southern Chorale of the University of Southern Mississippi to be sung in a benefit concert in Carnegie Hall following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, a slight modification of the text enhances the theme of courage, hope and thanksgiving.
