While travelling in Europe in the summer of 1990, composer Kumiko Tanakawas most inspired by locations in the Andalusian region of Spain. The b lue skies, white walls and bright sun of Cordoba, Granada and Malaga allattracted her; each alley she explored had its own unique feel, reflect ing Arabian, Islamic or Jewish tradition.
