Alexander Rosenblatt, born in Moscow in 1956, studied piano and composition at the prestigious conservatory of his hometown. In his tonal language, he combines classic elements with a jazz element into an original style mixture, a very distinctive musical language. As a pianist, he performed with O. Sinking, a genre that also brought him some special successes. In 2001 he won a special prize for his "Modern Piano Duet" at the International Composition Competition in Tokyo.
Rosenblatt wrote his Liszt Fantasy on the 200th birthday of the great virtuoso Franz Liszt.
