Each of the seven solos is a dance written in a specific “nationalistic” Romantic style. Tsitsaros' lyrical talent and superb compositional skills are especially on display in “Siciliana,” a piece conceived in the cantabile Italian style, and “Waltz,” which features a haunting melody inspired by Tchaikovsky's lyrical style.
