Smith created this set of six brief scenes for Lucy Bowen McCauley, choreographer and artistic director of Bowen McCauley Dance in Arlington, VA. Bowen McCauley convinced former U.S. poet laureate Rita Dove to participate in the performance, reading her poem "Ozone" while the members of BMD danced to Smith's music. For advanced cellists.
