Description: South of the border we go! Aretta's Rhumba is a fun supplemental solo written for the early intermediate pianist.
Purpose: Eric Baumgartner - The syncopated rhythms employed here are common in Latin American jazz. I designed this piece to be a good introduction to this wonderfully infectious style of music.
Suggestions for Instruction: Do your best to lock into the steady pulse maintained (mostly!) by the half notes in the left hand without rushing the syncopated rhythms in the right.
Key: D minor
